REAL ID Compliant Photo Requirements
Starting May 7, 2025, the TSA requires REAL ID-compliant identification for domestic air travel within the United States. When you visit your state DMV to upgrade to a REAL ID, you'll need to have your photo taken on-site. However, many states now allow you to upload a digital photo in advance through their online pre-application portals.
