Right to Erasure & Purge
Data Deletion Policy
Our core policy is simple: Your photos are never permanently stored, so there is no persistent biometric archive to delete.
1. Automatic Ephemeral Image Deletion
When you upload a portrait to PhotoResizer.us, the image processing (biometric cropping, background replacement to #FFFFFF white, and 240 KB compression) happens in your browser session or in ephemeral server RAM.
- Browser Tab Closure: Closing your browser tab immediately flushes client-side RAM memory.
- 24-Hour Purge: Any temporary cache files created for multi-grid print templates are automatically destroyed by cron workers within 24 hours.
2. Manual Erasure Request (Invoices & Email Records)
Under GDPR Article 17 ("Right to be Forgotten") and California CPRA, you have the right to request the permanent deletion of your email address, billing invoice records, and past purchase receipts from our database.
How to Request an Immediate Purge:
- Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".
- Include the email address used during your purchase or your order confirmation number.
- Our data compliance officer will execute the deletion and send a confirmation within 24 business hours.
