DV Lottery Portal Error Codes & Silent Disqualification Triggers
The State Department portal does not provide detailed error diagnostics. Here is why uploads fail and how to fix them.
"Photo validation failed"
Cause: Dimensions are not exactly 600×600 pixels (even 601×600 px fails).
