Why Does Photo Compliance Matter for Your Visa?
How Do I Fix My Photo for This Requirement?
Choose a consistent ratio for all your listings. Square (1:1) at 2000×2000px is the safest choice for search thumbnail consistency.
For portrait orientation, use 2000×2500px (4:5 ratio) — maximum allowed before cropping.
Upload at least 2000px on the shortest side for Etsy's zoom feature to work properly.
Use our free Image Resizer at PhotoResizer.us to resize any photo to exact Etsy dimensions.
Save as JPEG at 80–90% quality to keep file size reasonable without sacrificing sharpness.

People Also Ask
What is the best Etsy product photo size in 2026?
The best Etsy photo size is 2000×2000 pixels (square, 1:1 ratio) as the primary listing image. This ensures your thumbnail is consistent across search results. For secondary images, you can use 2000×2500px (portrait) or 2000×1500px (landscape).
What is the ideal long edge and short edge for Etsy photos?
For 2026, Etsy recommends a minimum short edge of 2000px. For a square product photo, both edges should be 2000px. For portrait photos, the long edge should be 2500px with a short edge of 2000px.
What DPI should Etsy product photos be?
DPI doesn't matter for Etsy digital listings — only pixel dimensions matter for the website. Use 72–96 DPI for digital savings and 300 DPI only if you plan to also print the product photo.
